FRANZ KREIDL - STECKBRIEF

My name is Franz Kreidl and I am 25 years old.

I am from the Zillertal, this is a beautiful valley in Tyrol (Austria). Since 2013 I am studying at the PH-Tirol in Innsbruck. Most of my free time I am doing several types of sports like swimming, cycling and skiing. In the last years also travelling became one of my passions. To meet new cultures and make new friends is the best part of travelling for me. That is also the reason why my favorite quote is:

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine

Martin

Martin Daminaitsch

My name is Martin Daminaitsch and I’m studying English, Geography and Craft at the Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol to become a Lower Secondary School teacher. I’m 33 years old and I’m an enthusiastic traveler, skier and mountain-biker.

The reason why I took part in this project was that I could meet young European’s with common perspectives. I found it very interesting how equal the opinions and solutions of the project members concerning stereotypes were. That tunes me very positive for a common Europe.

Rafaela

Rafaela Zöhrer

My name is Rafaela Zöhrer and I am studying Englisch and Sports Education at the Pedagogical University in Innsbruck. I chose these subjects for the following reasons: after completing school in Schwaz in Tyrol, I decided to go to London as an au pair for four months. Whilst there I cared for a six-year old girl. We had breakfast together, I took her to school and then we did homework together. Of course, we also spent a lot of time playing together. During this time, I also discovered my passion for the English language, culture and way of life. These experiences were decisive for my decision to become an English teacher.
Daniela

Daniela Gaisbauer

My name is Daniela Gaisbauer. I’m 25 years old and I’m studying at the Pädagogischen Hochschule Tirol to become a German and Geography teacher for secondary school. I love music, reading, taking my dog for a walk, snowboarding, climbing and anything to do with the ocean, especially surfing. I’m a open-minded person who loves meeting people, traveling and learning new cultures. For my first backpacking trip overseas I went on a tour to Vietnam. From that moment on, I was hooked. Traveling has opend my eyes to different cultures, foods, diversity, natural wonders, religion and all the world has to offer, both good and bad. Actually this is the main reason why I took part in the European project. You do not only get to interact with a variety of people, you also come home with a new appreciation for your own country while gaining a broader worldview.

Karin

Karin Holzner

My name is Karin Holzner. I am 24 years old and currently on a BEd. Degree course at the Pedagogical Universtity in the Tyrol, aiming to teach English, Geography and Economics at Lower Secondary level. This June I completed my second year and am now on ERASMUS in England at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.

Theresa

Theresa Egger

My name is Theresa Egger. I am studying at the Pedagogical Universtity in the Tyrol to teach English, Geography and Economics at Lower Secondary level.

My hobbies are travelling, mountain-biking, climbing, ski touring and other outdoor activities. One benefit of the workshops was to becoming aware of migration issues and seeing what kind of projects other countries organize to integrate migrants in an appropriate way. Within the context of my subjects, I will certainly be able to work with and include intercultural issues.

Andy

Andy

As you may know, my name is Andy and I am 27 years old. I really like to do sports all the time. For the most part I play Safety for my American Football team Telfs Patriots, but I also play Lacrosse and act as a coach for both sports. As you can imagine, sports use up a lot of my time, so my girlfriend often gets frustrated with me, but she stayed with me for quite some time now and supports me wherever she can. If you can’t find me on the field or at the gym, I’ll may be studying hard at the PHT to become a teacher. Subjects: English and PE of course.

Turkish and Spain to communicate better with locals. My personal benefit of these workshops was to get aware of Migration issues and to see what kind of projects other countries organize to integrate migrants in an appropriate way.

Michaela

Michaela Silvestri

My name is Michaela Silvestri and I'm currently studying at the Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol to become a German and Geography teacher for secondary school.  I'm passionate about travelling around the world, hiking in the Tyrolean mountains, coaching children in Volleyball, studying languages (i.e. Italian, Spanish) and visiting Art exhibition (paintings, photographs). I wanted to take part in the project because it was a fabulous occasion to get more detailed information about Migration in other countries, a topic that I'm very interested in. Furthermore we got the chance to talk about diverse stereotypes of each country and to learn some easy phrases in Turkish and Spain to communicate better with locals. My personal benefit of these workshops was to get aware of Migration issues and to see what kind of projects other countries organize to integrate migrants in an appropriate way.
